Oak Harbor Families, Mark Your Calendars!
It’s with immense joy and excitement that I invite you to join us for a truly meaningful event this holiday season. “Cocoa, Courage & Coloring: Kidz Kicking Cancer” is more than just an afternoon of fun—it’s a celebration of strength, resilience, and the power we all possess to make a difference.
Why This Event Matters
As someone who has personally faced the challenges of cancer and emerged stronger, I’ve experienced firsthand the importance of community, courage, and hope. This event is an opportunity to inspire children and families to see that they, too, can play a role in the fight against cancer.
Empowering Kids Through Connection and Creativity
Children are the future-makers, and this event is designed to show them the strength they carry within. Whether it’s creating heartfelt Courage Cards, sharing laughter over cocoa and cookies, or coloring the empowering pages of my new Colorful Heroes coloring book (co-created with my amazing kids, Rayna and Jayson), every activity is designed to spark courage and resilience.
Together, we’ll share stories of hope, celebrate triumphs, and build connections that remind us all of what we can achieve when we come together.
Event Highlights You Don’t Want to Miss
On Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 12 PM – 4 PM, the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Harbor will transform into a haven of joy and empowerment with:
- Holiday Coloring & Crafts Corner: Kids can unleash their creativity while coloring pages from my Colorful Heroes book and making festive crafts.
- Stories of Strength: Hear my family’s journey of resilience and healing, as we share the moments that inspired this movement.
- Courage Cards Creation Station: Your little ones can create heartfelt messages to brighten the day of someone battling cancer.
- Cocoa & Cookie Bar: Enjoy delicious treats and the warmth of hot cocoa as we come together to celebrate community.
A Personal Invitation
This event holds a special place in my heart. As a mother, a healthcare provider, and a survivor, I know how important it is to empower the next generation to be courageous, informed, and compassionate. Whether your family has been touched by cancer or you simply want to join a community united by hope and resilience, this event is for you.
We are partnering with the incredible teams at Kidz Kick Cancer and the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Harbor to ensure this event is unforgettable. Together, we’re creating a space where children can learn, connect, and realize their power to inspire change.
